I have had my legitimate copy of the Office XP suite since I bought it brand new in 2002 and, in my opinion, it is the best Office version made. I feel uncomfortable with any version newer than this, with all the tabs that came with newer versions, so I want to keep Office XP for life, as later versions are customizable in ways that I have not discovered–nor would I want to spend the time discovering. I’m right at home with Office XP, but with Office 2007 or 2010 I’m lost, except for the basic functions.

The reason why we need to reactivate a product more than once, twice, or even ten times, is because Office XP runs on later versions of Windows, so by reactivating it we can continue to use it even if we upgrade computers, replace hard drives, etc. I explained to Microsoft in no uncertain terms that dedicated users are not using pirated copies, but sometimes hard discs do crash and we need a way to reinstall the same program on the same computer with a different hard disk–or a new computer altogether.
